Sharad is considered the most classic batsman in the national team and the right hander himself says he always wants to keep his cricket "very simple". Occasionally an off spinner, Sharad made his debut with
the national team during with the ACC Trophy match against Qatar in Malaysia in 2004 and ended up making 49 runs.
Sharad is one of the six centurions from the country. He made 105 not out against Fiji during the 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division-V match in Kathmandu. He holds a peculiar record of hitting most number of sixes in a match. He had hit six sixes against the USA during the ICC World Cricket League Division-III match in Bermuda.
Sharad played for Region No 3 Kathmandu in the national tournaments before joining the Nepal APF Club in 2010.
